About

There are various ways that girls can participate in Girl Scouting, such as joining a troop, virtual E-troop meetings, attending council sponsored activities and summer camps.  Volunteer troop leaders set up meetings around their busy work and life schedules for ages 4k to 12 graders.  There are a variety of ways that adults can assist with Girl Scouting.

Locally, the Tomahawk Service area plans several events for all registered Girl Scouts, such as a Christmas Craft day in Dec, and a Cookie Rally in January where girls develop life skills – goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills and business ethics. At the end of January, girls take orders for Girl Scout cookies, which arrive in March.

For more information about Girl Scouting opportunities or to volunteer, check out our council website https://www.gsnwgl.org/.  Our council, Girl Scouts of the Northwestern Great Lakes partners with 5,000 volunteers, serves approximately 16,000 girls, and covers 58 counties across northern Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

For council contact: Jessica Murray, Membership Engagement Coordinator  at 920-955-3459  or email jmurray@gsnwgl.org

Girl Scouting builds girls of character, confidence and courage who make the world a better place. Girls can participate in troops and programs. Adult volunteers are always welcome and needed!
